PDX Crafty Vixens February 23rd

Bring your portable crafts and hang out with some fellow crafty vixens! We're meeting at Haven on Division for coffee and crafting at 3pm, then moseying on over to the mecca that is the Hawthorne area.

From Haven, it's about a 10 minute walk to get to Hawthorne, where we can check out resale places like Red Light and Buffalo Exchange, cool clothing places like Metro (which also has "cute" legwear), the beloved twin bookstores of regular Powell's and Home and Garden Powell's, and random eateries like the Chez Manchin creperie and Chopsticks Thai and Cup and Saucer, and if anyone's super motivated and the weather's lovely enough, we could march all the way down to Yarn Garden. That place is a multiroomed wonderland of yarn and yarn paraphernalia, and coffee drinks but it's on 14th and Hawthorne so it's a little hike.

If you want beads, a new purse, belt buckles, hemp yarn, Manic Panic, shoes, calavera stuff, milagro charms, decadent soaps, fair trade coffee drinks, fancy and delicious cheeses and pastas, books about knitting and embroidery, beer, wonderful papers that can be used for decoupaged, etc etc, the Hawthorne area is a great place to start.
