Penance

There are so many reasons why I should've known who Michelle Bachelet is. So, because I didn't, I've been researching her.

A short list:
president of Chile since March of 2006
a moderate socialist
a physician (pediatrics, epidemiology, surgery)
speaker of english, french, german, portugese, spanish
agnostic
military kid, dad ended up getting tortured to the point of death (cardiac arrest)
her first kid is one year younger than I am
she reduced waiting periods in hospitals by 90% (I don't know how they measured that, or what SPECIFICALLY they measured)
she allowed for the free distribution of the morning-after pill for victims of sexual abuse
something about a transport fiasco and massive high school related protests (better education!!!)
she's been on Forbes top 100 most powerful women list several times
