Crafty Wonderland Spring 2010 is AWESOME

You know it, you love it, you cannot live without it.
And if you are one of the first 200 in line tomorrow, you will get a goodie bag.

Crafty Wonderland is happening one more day this go 'round, and you need to go.

Seriously, if all the amazing booths hawking aprons and soaps and beautiful art weren't enough, you have Hello Craft and the DIY Lounge and others hooking you up with the stuff you need to make pins and vintage mothers' day cards and all kinds of stuff.

Plus, today, I was one of the first 200 in so I got a dope goodie bag.

TWO soaps, one from AndersonSoapCompany.com (Kumquat, smells amazing and I want to eat it), the other is Road Trip Soap by Seattle Sundries (smells GREAT).

One little chocolate. If you need favors for a party, check out Neapolitan Printing and Chocolate (www.pinkwhitebrown.com). These are delicious and neat!

Timoradolores.etsy.com gave little paper heart tags.

Pins from www.Badgebomb.com, www.presentsofmind.tv, www.hooptomyloo.com, Ciao Birdy Designs, and www.jennyhotrod.com, and a special one made from a poker chip by Christy Yeomans Designs

A paper necklace to cut out and string up from Jill Bliss.

Earrings from specialporland.com, brick and mortar store at 1805.5 NE alberta.

Feather printed greeting card from www.kirstenblaire.com

a fancy bobby pin adorned with a button from www.agnescrafts.etsy.com and a hair clip with olive colored felted swirly wool from PenFelt.com

Oh! I almost forgot! The bag itself! It's a canvas bag printed with a supercute bear and tree, from Land at 3925 N Mississippi Ave here in Portland.

Thank you all for sharing your stuff!

I can't share what I bought just yet because they are presents :D

Duncan Crafts / Michaels / Crafty Chica

Hiya, dear reader(s)! As you may already know, the Crafty Chica has a product line newly available at Michaels craft stores. Unfortunately, it's not available at all stores yet, nor is it available online yet. Sad times for Portland crafty folks. So, as folks at Hybrid Hopes like to do, we fired off an e-mail. Here's the result:

Hello Stephanie,
Thank you very much for the kind words and enthusiasm. The new Crafty Chica items are being tested in 141 stores selected by Michael's. However, I do believe in the near future, the items may be offered for purchase online. Keep checking in for an announcement.
Happy Crafting!

Subject: Regarding your question to Duncan

Your question has been submitted. We will respond as soon as possible.

First Name: Stephanie
Last Name: Martinsen

Question: Hey, I enjoy your products and buy them from time to time, but I LOOOVE Crafty Chica and I'm very very disappointed that her products will not be carried in the Portland, Oregon Michaels store. We need to fix this! There are tons of crafty ladies and gentlemen in Portland who will buy Crafty Chica products. Check out her sales at Powell's and other bookstores in Portland, as well as how often her books are checked out in our libraries. You could make money, and Portland would get the Crafty Chica stuff that we need!!! Thank you!

So, dear kittens, help spread the glitter love and message the decision makers themselves, the deciders who choose which Michaels stores will and will not carry Crafty Chica's line. Drop a line to these emails: Jacey Coffee (jcoffee@duncanmail.com) or Consumer@duncanmail.com (consumer@duncanmail.com)

A preemptive thanks, my love buckets!!!
