Alternately titled, Steph's guide to copyright:
You cannot seriously claim copyright for a craft done for decades and decades. Everyone knows you did not come up with the art of quilling, for example. A quick internet search will tell ya that I'm not the only one who reads old craft books.
On the other hand, folks need to give credit for where their ideas come from. Maybe let us know that your kindergarten teacher had you glue googly eyes onto a painted yogurt tub and that's where you got the idea to make halloween spiders. Or that you were inspired by Deltron 3000 and started embroidering robots. Or whatever.
Peace, et cetera.
